Cosmic Charms is a fictional cereal brand, along with BearHug (a fictional food manufacturer for this project). This project was created for a packaging class wherein we were tasked to create a cereal product that is targeted to children.
The basis of the very design of the made-up cereal brand is Kirby, a game character. It was decided that Kirby would be the mascot of the brand as the character appeals to children with its cute character design and vibrant color scheme.
Cosmic Charms is the name as Kirby is from a different planet and could travel different worlds. When talking about colors, it was based on Kirby and was combined with the color purple to make it connected to the galaxy concept. For the text, sans serif was used as it would bring a more modern and playful mood than serif or script.
